Which batting do you use in these quilts? Looks like they want very low loft batting. Would Hobbs 80/20 qualify? Or do people tend to use something else?

I've always wanted to make a quilt for this group (I have a friend who is a co-ordinator in another state) & this is just the push I need. I'll finish up the 4-patches I'm making for a cancer group (it's a great way to do leaders & enders & end up with quilt blocks to donate!) & then I'll make one of these! Thanks for sharing this with us!

What a wonderful thing to do. I have donated before to hospitals and the NW Medical team. I'll have to check this one out and join.

Our Guild does Quilts for Kids as our charity project. We try to donate 2 quilts per member per year. We even had a showing at the local library with the quilts donated. It was great.

I make about 6 QFK quilts a month. I'm behind right now because of a garage fire that has sucked some of the life out of me but hopefully I will be back to quilting heavily soon! QFK is a great cause! Anyone that goes just one time to give out quilts (most of the quilts I do go to the local Children's Hospital) and sees the look of joy on, not only the sick child's, but the parents' faces will understand just what these quilts mean. I wish everyone could do at least a couple a year - if not for QFK, than for some other worthy cause! There are lots of worthy causes out there!!
