Thanks for the memories! I remember when I got married in the 60's you always wore an apron, one for ccoking then quick change for when the dinner company arrived...lol.

my mother had these useless little organza things that she wore for company.  in real life she wore 'cobbler' aprons that covered her blouse as well as her stomach area.

This brings back memories. My mom died when I was ten and two of my favorite treasures are one of her aprons and my little apron. She made these in about 1963.

Aprons have really made a comeback! I just had my BFF make me about 5 different ones so I could wear them to work..but there are so many patterns choices it is hard to pick which style of apron we want!

how come we don't wear aprons anymore? i hate when my jeans get all yucky in front, not to mentions oil spatter on my shirts. i may go back to them.

Hmm.... well I do wear aprons...mostly the "butcher style" as I call them...with the bib front. I love to cook and I hate to shop for clothes so don't want to get food stains splattered on me.....

My Gram always wore aprons, the Butcher style. Mom wore them too but more like in the photo. That is a great idea to make a couple aprons, great gifts too.
