Wow!!!!

Airwick156 08-23-2011 09:49 PM

I watched that video...I want some of that stuff. I did a search on Quilt Top Express and nothing came up. :( So where do we get some of that at? Any ideas?

T. 08-23-2011 10:20 PM

I found two sources:
http://sewwithlaura.com/shop/june-ta...t-top-express/ and http://www.sewshop.com/June_Tailor_Q...-4136-614.html (for $ 11.75)

I also found a listing for Joann's, but it said "it's no longer available."

you're welcome. I just found an earlier discussion on this board by chance. Some people tried it & actually liked it. I was wondering if the stuff made it too stiff, but one of the quilters who used it said it didn't. Good luck & let us know how you like it.

Same idea as this I used it a few years ago on a wall hanging not stiff at all

I guess this would be ok for a quick quilt but I enjoy the process of taking the small pieces and slowly building into something bigger.

I doubt I would ever use this.

I sorta changed this a bit ,,,,,,,i laid very thin interfacing over gridded paper ,then taped them down , then did adding the squares thing ,this makes it very soft and much easier to sew and quilt

celwood 08-24-2011 05:07 AM

It is not as easy as it looks.

theresa.redington 08-24-2011 05:44 AM

Thanks for sharing. I have a kit that's about 6 yrs. old and haven't do it. This video makes it look easy.

Interesting. Very interesting...

lillybeck 08-24-2011 06:22 AM

I wonder if this stuff is expensive. I have a lot of time and not much money.

blueangel 08-24-2011 07:37 AM

Wow

penski 08-24-2011 09:23 AM

wow that is cool , thank you

penski 08-24-2011 09:26 AM

can you please explain the hard parts of it before i run out and buy it , to keep me from getting flustered?

penski 08-24-2011 09:29 AM

i wonder if you can get it in a larger size or maybe piece the grid and cut it to the size you want? any one know if that would work?

grma33 08-24-2011 10:21 AM

I have seen it on the June Tailor web site. There's a video on how to use it.

Have used gridded fuseable for years. It is great for just squares, also very good for water-color technique.

sheria 08-24-2011 04:28 PM

I enjoy the process

debbieumphress 08-24-2011 08:06 PM

Ok I am impressed. Had to book mark this one. I'm sure it looks easier but a nice concept. Thanks for sharing.

Also try crookednickel.com. She has lots of options and it's great for t-shirt quilts.

Wow, that looks great! I bet it would help with fraying fabrics also!

incoming2me 08-26-2011 05:41 PM

You can also buy Pellon Quilter's Grid at Joanns for around $3 a yard (maybe cheaper?)
Add in a sale or coupon and you have yourself a deal!

It comes in regular grid and a grid "on point" as well.

I bought a bolt of it awhile back but still haven't figured out what to make with it!
