as far as I know this is the first year for this group, so nothing to go by.
I never pay for this stuff, it is offered free in good faith, always for 24 hours to 3 days, and I accept it as such.
The last one of these (differrent group) was a total bust, if I'd paid for it I'd be screaming on someone's desk :)

Maybe a comparitive question is how much did you get from paid craftsy classes, the forever ones Bonnie Hunter did, and so on. There is so much free on youtube, why pay? I'm sure there will be ads that will pay for their time, and some who do subscribe and subscriptions will go up to their youtubes and blogs etc.

On the other hand I have paid for lifetime access to two subscription apps, and consider it well worth my $$ as I nuse them both nearly every day. Life time because I don't do monthly or yearly subscriptions for anything at all. Money eaters.

Darn, the one I'd really like to see I can't be there for. I wonder if they will have the seminars taped?

they are available for 24 hours, or you can purchse long term viewing.

Thank you , Patrice and Kamala for your thoughts. I hadn't realized this was the first time for this group. I've picked out 7 classes I for sure want to watch, one of which I'll need to watch later but within the 24 hour window.

Belfry just remember to toggle the Include Past Talks? switch. Also every class starts muted I watched a few today and there was some interesting info but nothing that is worth the forever price. I did find the crack the color code very interesting. Also if you watch them after the set time you can speed up the video:)

always happy to spend some time with quilters, but I found them to be a lot of talking heads. I jumped through everything. I did get a surprise from the lady who designs fabric for andover, I just put some of her selvedges into my current project :)

I do the jumping with youtube when I can get it to play too, our internet use is limited so long introductions and musical interludes...not doing it.
I am looking forward to what today brings through :)

I haven't been overly impressed. I watched 4 videos yesterday and one re-run today. I have three picked out to watch later today.

more talking heads. I'm quite disappointed, I guess because the first one of these I watched 3 years ago was So good.
Oh well, I did meet some of the newer faces in the craft and that's good. I don't do instagram or ticktock or others so am out of the loop. which is ok, I'd rather sew than sit in front of a screen unless it's my choice.

I found a couple of Ideas but that was it. I think I would like to try a small watercolor project. But for the most parts it was like Kalama said talking heads that are trying to sell their product or process. I did like the paper piecing 101 yesterday.

I am obsessed with the brick quilting designs presented by Diane Harris, the "StashBandit".

She did an awesome job of showing a super simple scrappy quilt design and how little color changes or turns of a pattern piece produced a completely different quilt.

Did anyone else see her presentation?

I went to her website because I'd love to buy any of her books - but she doesn't seem to have any! Plus there's no brick quilting patterns on her website.

Does anyone know where I can find her patterns? I've sent a query to her through her website. Her FB page hasn't been updated since 2022 and her IG account shows only a few brick patterns scattered throughout the years.
