This is a relatively new forum site that does block of the month. You have to join the forum but you will be glad you did. I am sending you to the page of the BOM's that there are now. I think there are five of them and this is only the 2nd month. That is how new it is. One BOM is for Angels, One for Baltimore Quilt, Another is Fairy,s a beginners quilt that is piecing and applique and a Medallion Patchwork Quilt. There will be more starting but I think she is waiting for more members. I am doing the Angel and the Baltimore BOM. That is more then enough, especially since I am already behind. LOL. Here is the addy. CHeck it out. Let us know if you join and are going to do one of the BOM's. We can do them together, makes it more fun.

Hi, At Quilters Crossroads you should be able to click on free patterns and it should take you right there. But first you have to sign up for which ones you want to do. So if you have not done that click Clubs and join the BOM's you want and then click freebies. Let me know how you do. Happy Holidays to you too.

Happy Holidays,

I joined. Really nice site

ljsunflower 12-23-2008 09:39 AM

I put all my info in, they said I needed a verification from my email. I clicked on the link in the email, filled out all the crap they wanted, then I still couldn't get into the forum to post!

Did you go in and do the instructions that I posted above. You need to join a BOM. Try that. After you join then click on free patterns to get the patterns. I am not quite sure what crap you filled out. I don't recall that. I just recall doing the verification. Anyway try this or read the instructions I previously posted that are more clear. :D

Since you just joined maybe you remember what you did and can help
ljsunflower. :D I have been a member for a couple of months so don't quite recall all the join up activity you have to do. What crap do you have to fill out when you verify your email addy? On another subject are you going to do any of the BOM's? :D

ljsunflower 12-23-2008 10:08 AM

why would I need to join a BOM to join the forum? that makes no sense. I don't really want to do a BOM, just join the forum. If that's not possible... I don't know.
The crap was whether to have my profile public, private, friends only. if I was male or female, how old I was, where I lived, etc.

DonnaRae 12-23-2008 01:32 PM

Oh, well the reason for that forum is for BOM's. That is the type of forum it is. There are many different types of Forums. Also, I was confused. I thought you said it was when you verified your email addy that you had to answer crap quetions. Now I understand. Anyway if you don't want to do BOM's you are right, no sense in joining the forum. Or you can choose a BOM but no-one say's you have to do it. I don't see any arms twisting. LOL. Have a good day.

Hey Donna. I joined the Baltimore BOM and Fairy BOM. I have yet to do either one. Hopefully, I can catch up soon. Her Baltimore blocks are really pretty.

I joined the Baltimore and the Angel and have yet to do either. LOL. Looks like we are both not doing so well at staying caught up. But I want to start maybe in January. I like applique a lot. :D

Okay disregard my above answer to what you wrote above. I don't think you have to join a BOM. I went and checked. When you go to the site does it reconize you or can you sign in? If yes to either click on BLogs and then see if you can post. If it still does not work contact Rebecca at the Forum and she will help you. She is very nice. :D
