Quilter's Ironing Board
 

I was talking to CraftyBear on the telephone and was telling her about my ironing board that I call a quilter's ironing board and she said I should post a link to it and a picture of mine. So, here is the link and picture:

Mine is the fold-a-way version and I absolutely adore it. It makes ironing fabric much much easier.

Great ironing board. It almost looks like one my godfather made me as a child (of course mine was much smaller).

I found directions to make one of these. I just need to do so.

I like the size and shape. Where do you get something like this?

I love it too. However, I had my SIL cut one from plywood that fits over my regular ironing board - I covered it and it works great. Much more economical and can be removed if I need to use the "old" board. The wider width saves so much time in quilting. I think there is a tute somewhere online that shows how to do this and it's free.

Very nice!! After my DH gets my design wall up, the last project for my sewing room is an ironing board for the top of my cutting table. I just don't have space for any more furniture. I love seeing everyone's rooms.

I use two ironing boards for the rectangle shape. Turn one the other direction, so tha the end is on the point. You then have the width of both ironing boards. It works for me. And I have had another that is lowered to hold the weight of the top and to keep it off the floor.

I have one that fits over a regular ironing board also. Works great for quilting purposes, and it's especially nice to be able to take it off to iron clothing. Bought mine at a sewing store several years ago.
