Quilter's Select Rulers on Sale today

Hi friends,
I got an email from The Quilt Show and they are having a sale today on the rulers. Everyone has been raving about them and I wanted to get one.
I bought the bundle.

(Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson's website)

I love these rulers. I have the mat too. The mat makes a big difference and I never thought it would.

Thanks for the tip - I need to check it out.

Ariannaquilts 09-12-2017 06:33 AM

I have never seen them so what makes them special?

I have every size of Quilter's Select rulers now. I bought one to try and went back and bought the rest. I have the biggest QS mat too. The rulers are wonderful, non slip, thin lines, non glare. The mat is smooth and heavy. I love the cut and turn with the rulers. Nothing slips. I went to a class this past week and learned how to use a rotary cutter properly. I and everyone I knew uses it wrong. LOL The blade should be very loose, no pressure to cut, do not have the button set so you have to squeeze the cutter to cut. Never squeeze a cutter not even the ergo ones. We spent an hour on proper use of a rotary. No one had been taught how to use one other then watching others who weren't using them correctly.

They are truly no slip. The first time I used one (at a quilt group), I fell in love. I wish they were easier to find since shipping can be a killer. I'll have to check out the sale.

The sale was good but the shipping was high!! I bought the bundle and shipping was 18.00- yikes!

Prism99 09-12-2017 11:39 AM

I went to the website but it appears to be only descriptions of their products. I'm not seeing a way to purchase the products online from their website. Am I missing something???

Edit: Here is the website I am looking at: http://quiltersselect.com/products.php
Is there a different website?

Oops! Okay. I actually found an online shop that seems to have them on sale and ordered from them:
https://sewcreativecottage.com/
Maybe a little better pricing than at the Quilt Show site, but the cottage shipping is a little more. The cottage has the new ruler sizes, though.

I opted for the small mat and a 6.5" ruler as I like to sew batik scraps together and cut out squares with them. This should make cutting the squares faster and easier for me. Also got their fabric glue to try out for turned-edge machine applique. Kind of pricey, but worth it to me if it works better. I've decided at my age I need good products!

p.s. You QB members are such effective enablers! :D

Yes, this board is an enabler. But that's a good thing, yes? no? maybe? In any case, I have been wanting these rulers since I learned about them (here-lol), and couldn't find them. I got two where Prism got hers. I especially wanted one for long cuts (24 ins.). So keep the enablements(is that right?) coming I say!
BTW, I AM NOT GOING TO BUY THE ACCUQUILT GO, per another thread!!!
Jan
P.S. Thank you SUZIEQOH.

Your welcome, Jaiade! And yes, we do seem to be enablers here ! haha
But I'm not complaining either :D

Prism, the shipping for my bundle was quite high. But I think that due to the sizes it's probably about right.

I got mine from Sue's Creating Cottage and it has free shipping - good service.

Thanks for the link. I will keep it for the future. Those rulers are hard to find.

Just curious, and can't find where your post is about not buying a accuquilt GO?

Wanabee Quiltin 09-14-2017 06:42 AM

OK, you enablers ! I just went to Sue's Cottage and bought two rulers with no shipping fees. I think I will really like anything that doesn't slip.

It may have been my post. I started 2 different posts on the Accuquilt and finally bought it. Love it !!!

Jaiade 09-14-2017 07:51 PM

jcraine listed the sale on 9-11, but Susie did start the enablement, lol. Sue sew cottage may have free shipping but if I saw right her price is $9 more than Sew creative cottage for the 24 inch ruler which is shipping, I would think.
