Quilting Quickly Fall Issue is out

Went into Pubix (grocery store) looked a mags as I always do and WOW! The new Quilting Quickly was on the shelf. They don't have it in WM here, and now HD's chemo is over I don't get to Jo-Ann's. Can't wait to have time to read it.

Got mine

Just picked mine up at the Haggen's in town, got the last one on the shelf. Wish they would set up for subscription as only a couple of stores in Snohomish/Everett area carry this and then it seems like they only get a few copies. I never have seen it at the Joanne's. I'm like you I check everytime I'm in the store.

Who publishes Quilting Quickly?

kathdavis 07-12-2013 10:57 PM

It is published by Fons and Porter. I have found it before at our Joann's.

What is in the fall issue

cwcquilters 07-13-2013 06:12 AM

Missouri Star Quilt has this available on their website for $9.95 and if added to the daily deal or another item ordered the shipping is $5.00 for all. None of the stores I go to around here have it and I have yet to see any in the JoAnn's here, or they go so quickly when I am there they are out of stock. I ordered mine day before yesterday and when I looked yesterday they still had it.

Picked mine up at Sams club...Always 30% off all magazines...

Never claimed to be great speller, always my weak point, but Mag is great and there was only one left when I got this one. I costs enough, hate to pay postage too.

That left ME wondering!

I have found mine at Hobby Lobby.

I went to Barnes and Nobles to get a copy and the employee straightening up the magazine racks said a woman came in this morning and bought every issue to give to her quilting friends. It won't be re ordered once it is sold out. I guess I'll have to order it online. There is preview of the some of the patterns on F&P website.

I love this issue! I am making the quilt on the cover and it is easier for me with written instructions. I am making a full size quilt so I have to make it larger; but I like having the cutting diagram and a picture of the blocks layout. The bad thing about Quilting Quickly is that I want to make most of the quilts in the magazine. I, too, wish you could subscribe to Quilting Quickly. I went to my grocery store every day this week looking for it. Fortunately, I was able to get my copy before they sold out.

I have checked Hobby Lobby twice and they did not have it. I'll keep looking, I wanted to use their coupon.

I just purchased the Fall issue through the Fons and Porter web site. $9.99 no shipping or taxes...total amount paid was just the $9.99, which surprised me that there was no shipping or taxes....I know I've had to buy the two previous issues online can't seem to find it here in the boonies locally.... and I think I purchased both of those through Fons and Porter too.

I bought this yesterday at Fry Electronics..... of all places! Regret to say I was disappointed in this issue. The featured quilts and patterns don't seem new or very interesting to me. The saving grace, though, is the story and photos of Jenny Doan's grandmother! Lovely woman who reminds me so much of women like her in my own family.

I went to two joanns and they did not have it, so I went online to order it, the website said it is not being released until July 16. so the places you already purchased from must have put it out early. I will try to get it on Tuesday.

I ordered mine from MSQC last Wed. Hope it arrives soon. I've been drooling over the previews on Fons & Porters web site. I love this magazine. Right up my quilting alley. LOL!!! If you know what I mean.

Funny how stores vary so widely, I have yet to see it at our Joann's here ? - but I've found it at several of our grocery stores, HEB and Kroger, and I've seen it at B&N ...

huntersgrammie 07-15-2013 01:58 PM

i live in canada and can't find it anywhere. i ordered the first one so i could have it autographed by jenny and placed it with an order but to get them sent here along is more than the magazine. i hate it. i really don't want the digital cause then i have to print it off and its not the same. and you pay the same price for it. wish i could find a place here that sells them.

mhollifiel 07-15-2013 02:14 PM

Totally agree!

I have been truly inspired by the previous issues but this one fell short. Grandmother saved it! Also noted that it is somewhat repetitive especially in general information.
