Quilting with a walking foot
I always thought that the walking foot limited one to boring straight line stitching. Boy, was I wrong:

Interesting. Yes, these things can be done since I have done them but if you are working on a large quilt, it might make things more difficult. I have done soft curves in a border stencil. Gives the stitching better quality over FMQ.
