My sewing machine doesn't require using leaders and enders, so I never have any around.

I think this will be perfect for using up more of my scraps. I have eight more units to make to complete my log cabin clam shell and rather than do another LC this looks like the one to do. Love the checkers. TFS

3 rail rail fence was the very first machine pieced quilt I made. A friend and I had gone for a drive and there was a quilt shop across from where we had lunch (Hood River Oregon. Bought the yardage and in 2 days the top was done. Machine quilted it too, there wasn't anyone the say I couldn't :) that was sometime in the 70's, I've always quilted. The quilt went through 3 tops and 2 backs and now graces and little red wagon the dogs cosy in on the porch. that was before rotary cutters, I ripped the strips. GASP...
I'm going to use my 1.5" four patches I've been using for leaders and enders and for yardage my 1/5" mens shirting strips. I'll have to play a bit to decide sizes. |
