With this method do you still sandwich it? Is this a stitching for the top only or what? That part I'm still confused on.

Yesterday I went to an embrodiary class and there is a Brothers Sashiko machine now. Oh, yes, we all had a turn. I dont think I would invest in one tho. $$$

Nice tutorial, and the quilt Hulahoop1 is beautiful! I am binding a quilt now, that I stitched in my own version of sashiko style quilting. will be posting it soon.
