My scrap tub is absolutely full. I can't seem to throw fabric away. It's all too precious - right?
Here is a tutorial to use up some of your scrap tub. The tutorial is for a cushion / pillow, but can just as easily be made into a quilt. I'd love to know what you think :-) http://www.sameliasmum.com/2011/02/s...-tutorial.html |
It looks good,... thanks for sharing the link.

It does look good...I love raggy quilts but something tells me I would be tempted to turn under the raw edges....Madness I know and probably defeats the whole purpose. Think I need to loosen up a bit! Thanks for the link:).

I want to try this one...loved it and so simple

Interesting. Question: is she leaving all the edges raw?
|
Yes the edges are raw. It's got a lovely soft fluffy texture :-)

Interesting.

My granddaughter and I make quilts for dolls like this all the time. She is five and this is so easy for her. I love scrappy and these quilts are alot of fun for both of us.

I saw that somewhere else, too. I am thinking of making mug rugs like that. maybe use a black background, so wont get too grungy looking.
|
I have a link to a doll quilt that's based on the same idea. Haven't made it but I've got all the fabric together.
|
Love it; I'm inspired!! Thanks.

It's not traditional - that's for sure :-)
I guess my relaxed quilting approach is showing, right? :P |
