The length is what ever you have. The width I have to have at least 1/4 inch for sewing room. 1/2 is better of course but 1/4 is fine. You all make me sooooooo happy!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I emailed her and found out that people from all over the world have been sending her selvages. She mentioned it on her blog and it just took off. But she is sooooooo talented that is great just to see what she comes up with. Beautiful eye candy!

Thanks for sharing that too. I have a big stash I started quite awhile ago and had a friend adding to it for me and keep collecting while thinking the what to make:)I know there's a gal that makes quilts w/hers and have seen the cover of her book. Here's my question for all, I am told for some projects on shelvage, they are actually fused on something to help hold them together and show more of what is on the very edge. For if you sew the 1/4", you will loose the design/stamp. What is your thoughts on that? Skeat.........who loved the pillows and key chain too!

Skeat, I wondered that too....I try to cut 1/2" at least for DonnaRae..but on the other side....welll...it tis what it tis!!
|
Well I am not going to go wrong with all of you figuring this out for me. LOL. You do lose some of the one side but you can sew less then 1/4 inch on that side. That is why I wondered about the dress. But I am sure the dress is for show more the wearable, although is sure looks wearable and dang is that not good?

awesome, thanks
