Thank you for sharing...I am not confident with curves so every lit bit helps.

I tried this and couldn't quite master it. My curves were not perfect. So pins it is. It may take me a bit longer but my curves are better when I use pins. Maybe the more curves I do the better I will get and the more confidence I will have to try again without pins but not right now.

Something she only mentions briefly but that is extremely important is that you must keep a 1/4" seam of both fabrics all the way along. I don't use pins, but if I go slow and be sure to keep the fabrics lined up and my fabric then lined up against the 1/4" foot, I get a good result.

that was a walking foot? Mine looks huge next to hers.

My walking foot is not a quarter-inch.

Her machine is a Janome Memory Craft 7700 QCP . Looks like a new style of walking foot. Probably fit other brands too.

I would probably sew just a bit slower and with fewer stitches each time I stopped for adjustment, not a criticism but I did notice that her ending piece of the light wasn’t exactly lined up when she finished. Thus probably doesn’t bother most people but I am a little bit OCD and it bothered me, 😁. So I’ll stick with pins and make sure that each end is lined up and pinned. And yes, thst did look like a different walking foot than the ones I have.

I do appreciate when people share any kind of tip so keep it up, Thanks.

Here's another with the same title, but using a curvemaster foot, which I love. .

Ice Leopard...if you can, move your foot over to the right as far as it will go and then use the outside edge of your walking foot. On mine, this gives a perfect 1/4".
