Smartphone Aps for Quilters...

I'm drinking my morning coffee and wandering around in Play Store on my smartphone. I came across RK Quilting Calculators and installed it. It has a lot of uses s/a finding out how much backing and batting to use, piece count pieces to yardage, binding, etc. Is anyone else familiar with this Ap? Any other aps out there that are good for quilting? Thanks

That is the only app I have loaded on my tablet. Been so busy, there hasn't been any time to check it out.

AUGH! I tried to edit this post and the QB posted it twice...sorry for the confusion. I'll have the other one deleted. This is the main thread.

RK quilting calculator didn't come up for me. I have the Quilt Shops app. It tells you if there are quilt shops in the area you are driving in. I also have Missouri Star Quilts app. There are new tutorials on there all the time.

OH...that's cool. I would love to just wander around looking for quilt shops to poke into. :) The RK ap looks very practical. I think that I might actually use it from time to time. It has a "set in corner triangle" feature that will calculate the size of the square piece that you will need to cut.

I see that Craftsy has an ap. I like their website...sort of.

I will have to check out the RK calculator... I do have the Craftsy app since I have purchased a few classes and when downloaded, you can watch them on the airplane or while traveling.

The app you got is the best one in my opinion, I use mine all the time. Another good one is Quilt Fab...great for designing, layout and colour choices. I have two or three others but I like these two the best.

I should have said Block Fab, not Quilt Fab! Oops.

The best app I ever downloaded is called Quiltography. I had to pay more than I've ever paid for an app, but haven't ever regretted it. This app does it all. You can design your own quilt, add in the fabrics you have, and see what it will look like. Yes, you take pics of your fabric to keep in the app. It has all kinds of popular blocks already created. All you do is arrange the ones you like into a quilt. You can tell the app how many blocks you want add borders and insert your choice of fabrics. You can also design your own blocks and save them. Whenever I have had a question, you can contact them right from the app, and I ALWAYS hear right back from them. They are very friendly and make you feel like you're talking to a friend. Also, I've told them what I wish they could add to their program, and they listen! They appreciate any feasible ideas you might suggest. I know it might be too pricey for some of you, but if I recall correctly, I think it cost around $14.95 one time cost. I've used it for about two years. Take a look at their reviews to see if it's meant for you.
