Thanks, I have enjoyed visiting 67 pages. There are so many collections and all have such beautiful quilts.

Thanks for the link. I didn't get too far before I realized it would take me far too long to look at all 67 pages so I'll have to go back another time. What is sad to me is how many quilters are "unidentified" or unknown. Too bad we'll never who put their time and heart into so many of these.

I've been searching for typical Federalist Period quilts....never thought to google the Smithsonian.
There are some fantastic quilts at the Daughters of the American Revolution building also....I never thought to google them either.

Many of the Amish and Mennonite quilts are not labelled, because of a tenet in their religions -- the group is more important than the individual.

Be sure to check about whether the Smithsonian quilts are on display before you make the trip to see them.

Also check out the Williamsburg Historical Society's quilt collection. Interesting.
