I was just at a meet n great in Shipshewana this weekend. It was so much fun! Any way a few of us got to talking about snaps. Here is where I order mine:
http://www.snapsource.com/
I have had such a hard time using the Dritz. These are so easy. The secret is in the tools. They make using snaps so easy. So if you like to use snaps here are some nice ones.

Thanks so much for this info. I wanted to attach a snap to a needle case yesterday and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do it. No directions on the snap package. Thanks again for this timely info.

You are welcome ladies!

Jacquie, I use mostly 16 to 18 but I have have all the "tools" for all the sizes and have some of the other sizes. I like these snaps because of the tools. I still mess up sometimes but not like with the Dritz. I could never get those right but with this the snaps are "forced" to be lined up and I get it right almost always. And they hold good too.

Thanks, that was what I was wondering--I have to throw away a lot of the Dritz that get bent during the process. And you do need a tool for each different size, right?

thanks...I don't do much with snaps, but this might change that...I am going to order just the 16 size in a mixed group and then they have neatest "button" looking one in a 20 size...think it will look great on wallets/bags!
These are not too costly either..I like that!

I use these all the time. The tool is well worth the money. Should be because it was designed by a woman!

Right, it is only because the heads are different sizes. The rest of the snap parts are the same size. So if you want to just try it just figure which size you might use the most and just get the parts for that size. I think 16 is pretty standard. I put snaps on blouses and dresses (when I make dresses) because I like them better. Also if you have sew expo near when you live they are usually there and you can check them out better in life.
