Hmmm...I'm going to have to check my quilts and see if I have any snouts in my home! Cute tool though. Thanks for posting.

Tartan 04-23-2017 12:01 PM

Funny, but since I sew down my miters when I had stitch the binding to the back, no snouts are visible.

kayluvs2quilt 04-23-2017 01:31 PM

Wow ~ I learned something new today. Future quilts will be snoutless!

GEMRM 04-23-2017 04:40 PM

That's a phrase I won't forget and once I saw what she meant, it does look like a snout!

Wanabee Quiltin 04-24-2017 05:27 AM

Thanks for this video.

I love that. We will all be looking for snouts from now on.

DonnaC 04-24-2017 07:07 AM

Wow, a friend just gave me a set of those minute miters because she didn't have the patience to use them... now I have to try and see if I can do it! No snouts allowed! :)

Jannie 04-24-2017 06:24 PM

I think I bought this tool a while ago. I will have to find it, watch the videos again, and see if I can get it to work as easily as she makes it look.

Interesting little gadget for the miter. "No snouts"

maviskw 04-24-2017 06:45 PM

When I did my bindings by folding the back to the front, I had snouts. I just said they look cute and didn't worry about it. Then I found out how to make that corner square, but now I mostly don't make them that way anymore. I never have snouts on my bindings now.

sewbizgirl 04-24-2017 09:06 PM

Too funny! :D

Learnt a new thing today, thanks

Whose to say snouts aren't preferred by some? LOL It's binding.

Yooper32 04-25-2017 07:56 AM

Thought for the day! Something new to be learned every day.

tessagin 04-25-2017 08:13 AM

Tartan I thought that was what we were suppose to do. I have always sewn down the binding.

Many thanks for posting the info about snouts....sounds so funny. I definitely have them in my miters but didn't know why.

toverly 09-22-2017 03:34 AM

What a hoot! I almost always have a snout on one corner. Don't know why but I do. Thanks for the video.

AUQuilter 09-23-2017 06:26 AM

Thanks for posting the video link! Never heard of snouts. Guess I will have to dub my binding a "No Snout Zone".

gingerd 09-24-2017 04:05 PM

I love the link! Now to finish a quilt and do it snoutless!
