It would take a year to complete a quilt if I had to glue baste every seam!! Sorry, this isn't for me.

Me neither. I guess if you had never sewn a seam together, it would be great but all but the last few minutes are a waste of time. Great shots and very clearly done. I learned by pinning and do not plan on changing now. Thank you for letting us see the video.

Very cool!!! I've often spun the seams on parts of a block, but never the whole one. I've always used pins or just "finger pinned". I do think I'll try this, but still using pins. Glue basting would be way too time consuming for me. Guess I'm not quite that much of a perfectionist. As a hand quilter, I sometimes want seams going in certain directions for ease of quilting. Guess I'll need to keep that in mind too.

I watched this video yesterday and today made a couple pinwheel blocks to try out the method. Originally I thought the method was interesting, but probably time consuming. I was way wrong! This is a fantastic way to make a perfect pinwheel block. Once sewn, and turned to the back....."swirling center" was already in place...no need to swirl it yourself. Also, the seams were going in the direction needed for pressing...no guess work! I will never make a pinwheel any other way again! Thanks so much for sharing this video!
