Spray Starch
 

For some reason spray starch is hard to find now in my area. Use to be in all the grocery stores. I found Faultless Niagara original hold spray starch in the non aerosol bottle for $2 each. It's the real starch not the fabric enhancer spray most are now. I put it all in my cart. The manager said it rarely sells so they won't keep it in stock (it was by accident I found it, top shelf hid behind fabric softener, no wonder it didn't sell) so she went to the back and brought out a case, all they had left. She clearanced the price and sold it to me. So check Big Lots if you use spray starch.

Ha! well they wanted to get rid of that. good for you though!! now, don't run out of starch!

My quilting pals will be getting a bottle each for sure.

I buy the Sta-Flo concentrated starch for about the cost of 1 spray can of starch, but the Sta-Flo goes a lot farther than the spray.

This is what I use as well. I think it absorbs into the fabric better than the spray starch. And cheaper.

Sta Flo is good but doesn't give me the right feel I like for my fabric. I can't justify saving money to use something that isn't what I like. I doubt anyone is hoarding starch but it has been difficult to find this last few years in my area. Not many use it to iron clothes and many quilters don't use starch.

I also buy the Sta-Flo starch and add it to my vodka recipe to make a stiffer mixture. I try to keep 2-3 bottles on hand at all times.

I use the Niagara too and did find it a bit difficult to locate the last time I purchased it. It never dawned on me that the stores may not be carrying it. Another thing to add to the list of things to check or look for. I don't use enough to be concerned about it though.
