A Star is Born by Ro Gregg (Oct 2012)

They are gorgeous! http://www.fabri-quilt.com/products/...categorysearch

Hancocks of Paducah has them for sale at $4.99 a half yard. I wish they would just say $9.98 a yard!

If you know of a place that has a better price, please post here.

If you have made anything let us know. I'm trying to figure a way of justifying buying some since I have soooo mannny projects started that I'm currently working on.

I find the newest trend to list as 1/2 yards very annoying. Are they hoping to catch us off guard and have us order it and not realize the price isn't by the yard? The few people they may sucker in will not be repeat customers. Quilters are too thrifty and smart to fall for it more than once. Okay, I'll get off my soap box now.:D

Yes I agree it is very annoying

This may be the case in some place, but I sell my fabric in the UK priced at 25cm because that way if someone wants to just order a small piece they can.

Gorgeous fabric! I'd love to get some but it will have to wait.

I'd much rather see fabric prices listed by the yard. Guess it is because that is what I am used to seeing.

Thanks for sharing the link.

I agree about the half-yard pricing. I wonder if the people who decide such things monitor this board. I'm sure I'd pay attention to quilters if I had a business like this.

This fabric is wonderful. Thanks for the link.

You are welcome!

About the pricing, it's better for the consumer to think in yards. And, maybe a caption saying what the smallest increment is. Most places will not sell less than a yard, some 1/2 yard and some 1/4 yard increments. It's confusing when their pricing is based on another sizing/cut. The local quilt/fabric stores here price by the yard and if you buy 1/2 yard, they cut the price in half and round up to the nearest cent. There are times when I have wanted a bunch of skinny quarters. If fabric is $10 a yard, it's easy to figure that a skinny quarter would be $2.50 (or 1/4). Or 1/3 yard cuts, $3.34 each. But if it's sold in half-yard increments you are pretty much limited to what size is available.

But, if you ever get a chance to shop in Hancocks at the actual store there in Paducah - it's an awesome experience. They have so much fabric that you could be lost in there forever!
