stolen quilt alert
 

Oh dear. Susan Pelland's beautiful quilt was stolen the day before Quilt Market opened in Portland. Please inform your quilt friends and everyone keep their eyes open. Hopefully someone will find and return it.

I really hope it's misplaced and not stolen...how awful. Hope it's found or returned soon.

It makes me so angry when I hear of quilts being stolen. Let's hope it just got misplaced and will turn up soon.

So sad!! What happened to - "If it don't belong to you, don't touch it." Hopefully someone will find it.

Posted/shared on FACEBOOK! I myself would be devastated as the recipient of a gift that was stolen. That is a thought that doesn't count. Doesn't say much for the giver!

Sure hope it turns up. I get so angry when I hear this kind of story. So much work and effort goes into a quilt; to have someone be so small that they could steal it is just unthinkable. my heart goes out to you and my prayers are with you that it will be found

It is very sad that people treat each other this way. The heart aches for everyone. If i stole things i would steal this too. It is beautiful.

OMG, it's beautiful - and I can't understand why anyone would do something like that!!!

How heartbreaking that this beautiful quilt would disappear. It is obvious a lot of thought and loving work went into it. I hate to say this, but has anyone investigated those who were responsible for receiving and hanging up the quilts?

What a shame. All that hard work down the drain. Let's hope the person who stole it needs it more than Susan did.

This sentence doesn't make much sense to me. Need gives no one the right to steal anything. How about this: Let's hope this person is caught, the property returned to its rightful owner, and the criminal prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Considering that quilters are some of the nicest people in the world, I'm always shocked when a quilt gets stolen from a show (market or festival). I hope it wasn't a fellow quilter. And I do hope it is found and returned to the owner. I too posted it on my facebook.

I will keep my eyes OPEN. Hope it cmes home.:(

I can only imagine how heartsick she is about losing her quilt. Hope it comes home soon!

Thieves are just some of the lowest lows. I don't understand how criminals can live with themselves. It is just pathetic.
I can honestly say---people who cannot show for respect other people and/or their things, I won't give them the time of day. Zero tolerance policy.
I hope it gets back to her much sooner than later.

Even if caught, the thief won't get punishment, a fine and sent on their merry way. Too many bleeding hearts fall for the poor me act.
