does anyone use this product? I have read it on several blogs and wondering if any of you have tried it and is it worth it when using free motion quilting.

i have it and I like it. it does help keep things slick as you FMQ, it is a help, but you still need to have a good flat even surface as you begin don't bother with the quilt halo, which is sometimes recommended, I have that too, and never use it as it is too small for me.

I have it, and always use it when doing freemotion on my domestic machine. Honestly, I had bought it before I started freemotioning, so never tried without, but I can move my fabric around smoothly and I think it helps. I also agree that the halo is a waste.

Here is another thread for these. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-60010-1.htm
Go all the way to the bottom. One person bought teflon baking sheets. |
This looks like a great product. I've begun to quilt my own things lately and can see where this would help. Thanks for sharing! :)

I have one and I love it. But do your homework and check around to different sites, the prices vary.

I have this and like it I also have the halo and like it to.

Carol .. I love mine, it really makes FMQ alot easier. I did try Featherweights oven liner trick, it did not work as well for me.
I also saw you mention the gloves in another post, they are grerat too. JulieM |
