Table with sewing machine shelf.

Here is a tutorial on a way to sink you sewing machine level with the table top. http://measuredandslow.com/2015/07/2...ing-table-diy/

Nice job! My hubby made me one too!

Thanks for posting this. A couple years ago, I was given an old sewing cabinet. The sewing machine had seized up and the previous owner had taken it out and thrown it away. (I almost cried when I heard about it's death). So my hubby cut a bigger hole and recessed my Babylock into it. It has a front loading bobbin, so it was difficult to get the door open to change my bobbin. So I stuck a little clear Command Strip with the hook to the bobbin compartment door, so that all I have to do is reach in and get ahold of the hook and give a little tug. No more problem. I am so blessed to have a husband that is very talented and handy. He will figure out any way possible to make my quilting process easier. I thank God everyday for him. Vonda

Thank you! I bookmarked it because I want to do this someday.

I bookmarked this as well. Thanks for sharing. My daughter is moving out next weekend and I am moving my sewing room to her bigger room. My wonderful DH has said he would make this for me. Can't wait!
