Tensioning your machine for FMQ

This article is for a specific Juki machine. I think, though, that the general advice could translate to many machines. It's the best/clearest explanation I've ever seen.

Thanks so much. I have a new Juki and didn't know this site existed.

I'm getting a new juki, too, so this caught my eye

Thanks, Nan. That info is in the owner's manual. I was having some problems with my FMQ on my 2200 QVP Mini so went to the manual and followed the steps exactly. Solved my problem. Amazing how reading the instructions helps :D

I just noticed that the article says to change your bobbin tension. I didn't find it necessary to do that and got good bobbin tension on my machine.

Thanks, Patrice. I can't wait for my new [quilting] machine to come.

Nan, congratulations on your new purchase...and thank you for the helpful link. I don’t own a Juki but agree that the information would be helpful on any brand.

Congratulations on your new Juki - I think you're really going to enjoy it! I bet you'll be making even more donation quilts each month now :)

And thanks for the link to the Juki Club (never knew that existed) and the great info on tension
