I know!! She is my quilting hero!!

Thanks, this was very informative. I have tons of Isacord poly I use for machine embroidery and I think I'm going to try quilting with it.

We have to keep reminding some of the "old" quilt police "There are no rules in quilting".

I really like some of her quilting designs, but does she do any that are not fill designs. I think it makes the quilt too stiff if it's quilted that much. Would it be possible to enlarge them or would it be harder to maneuver? I'm looking for designs for my quilts- tired of doing the same old stuff.

Thanks for the link!

Great tute. I gave up trying to please the "quilt police" a long time ago. If you are going to judge my quilt, you better have a clipboard in your hands at a show

great stuff. I got to see her in real life this year. one of her last travelings. she said she is going to stay home for awhile. great gal. and so young to know so much. she was on a mission.

It's true that some designs work better for this than others, so I'd advise you to start with the Independent Designs first - http://www.daystyledesigns.com/365fillerdesignmain.htm These are all based on Stippling and if you can stitch that design, most of these should come easily to you. Just aim to leave at least 1 - 2 inches between you lines of quilting and your quilt will be soft and cuddly. Good luck, Leah Day |
Thanks Leah, I'm going to try it.
