Just got email from Threadart - they are having a sale this week only; on all their threads.

Has any one used poly thread for machine embroidery? were the results as good as a rayon thread.

Thanks for the heads up! I spent my allowance all at once here. LOL!

I have used poly thread for machine embroidery. It works just as nice as rayon. in a pinch I have even mixed them and no one can tell the difference. I use threadart embroidery threads A LOT. I usually prefer rayon but only because it will take the heat of an iron or dryer better. some people say their machines are fussy. I find as long as I'm careful with replacing the needles, using the right right size/type needle, and all the other normal embroidery care I have no problems. The threadart thread (rayon and poly)works as well for me as the more expensive threads.

Hi ladies, been a member for several years, though I have never written anything unti earlier today. I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned from all of you. I soak up all the hints and tips and download them to a alphabetical word document I've titled "QuiltingBoard Helps" and I download your beautiful quilts to a word document I call "QuiltingBoard Pics For Inspiration". Forgive me for taking so long to thank all you lovely ladies, I enjoy you sooooo much.
love and God bless each of you.

I can only use the poly thread on my Brother embroidery machine. Whenever I use Rayon it breaks and shreds on me. LOVE poly thread

Just a note let you know... you may not want to use their Rayon thread. I tried to use it in both my Viking and my Pfaff embroidery machines and it shredded and actually got caught inside my machine. I have alot of it and can not use it. If someone wants it, let me know. I love their poly thread, and I have also used their cotton thread with no trouble. Just something to think about...

I like the polythread better!

Thanks for the info, I have the Pfaff 2170,

I bought Threadart a few yrs. ago. I am so sorry I bought it. All of the spools unravel poorly. I'm trying to use up what I have & switch to a better brand. I'm also anxious to try Connecting Threads. I've had good luck using Guterman's. I sew on a 1080 Bernina, Featherweight or New Home.

I have the Connecting threads, essential cotton thread and love it.

I also have the Pfaff 2170. I so love that machine. It is the best working machine I have ever used. I researched several machines before I bought it, and the Pfaff won by a wide margin. I have not written in before now as I too read this thread every day. I love this forum. Thanks for all the help and information that is posted here.
