Tips for sewing with Minkee

I received an email from MaryJo's this morning and it had a tip for sewing with minkee. I thought I would pass it along for everyone else.

Thank you very much. I have Frozen minkee fabric ordered and I have never used this fabric before.

Thanks! I may make a teddy bear out of minky and this will be useful.

Those are great suggestions. I love mary jo's. Sure wish I lived closer. Wait.... that might not be a good thing for my pocketbook.

I have started backing my lap quilts with minkee. It's nice and wide and so soft. I'm afraid I started something I will regret as all the family I have made quilts in the past for now want a minkee backed one. I thought flannel was great till now.

I recently made a baby blanket using minkee as the back and fleece as the front. It is so soft! But I sure wish I had read this article before doing it, it came out kinda crooked. Lol. Thanks for sharing!

Beware, that minky can stretch during quilting. I quilted with it on the back of the quilt actually some FMQ with the back UP but still had problems with stretchiness on my DSM.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't posted for a long time and missed my quilting family. Computer crashed big time and hubby had a stroke. So hope I can get back in the swing of sewing.
