Tutorial for a Diamond Starburst
This is one of the most meticulous tutorials i have ever seen. Written by Grandma58, one of our own members, it takes us step by step through the process, starting with choosing the fabrics. :)

That is a wonderful tutorial! Now I have to try it too, no more excuses. What did she say, "If you expect good things, it will happen!"
I'm expecting my star to be fun and easy to do!:) |
Thank you Patrice, very much!
|
Thanks Grandma58 that is the best tutorial I have seen. Thanks PatriceJ For pointing it out to us!!!!!!!
|
Patrice, Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial. I do believe that I now would have the confidence to make one, where before it would have been ify.

You Grandma58 are awesome! I read through the first few paragraphs until where the pictures started and then glanced at the pictures. As Gomer would have said: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Your explainations give reason to the why? and the logic needed to tackle this beast. (Did I really say that?) Your instructions and pictures are thoughtful, purposeful, and logical. Sometimes my brain doesn't want to work that way. I will try this quilt top since I have no further reasons to put it off. Thank you!

thank you! thank you! thank you! I have always wanted to make a star quilt , but never could figure out just how to do it. Thanks to you, I now feel able to make it. Your directions are clear, and the pictures reinforce what you are saying. You must have been a teacher somewhere in your life, because this is one great tutorial. I have never seen anything that is as clear as your directions.

I've always loved starburst quilts and wanted to do one, but never thought I could. This makes it look doable. Thanks!

That is probably the best tute I've ever seen. Oh, my the time she must've spent on that - and all for us. Blessings upon blessings to you! I actually feel I can tackle one of these now. Loved your instruction on color choices too. Just a first-class job and then some. Kudos aplenty and many thanks!

Thanks for posting this. Now I want to go make one, I just need to add it to my list. I probably have the fabric, just not the time!

i especially appreciate the tips for keeping track of color placement. i have a tendency to get the patch placement mixed up when i'm working with more than three colors. i think i might have more success using your method. :)
