could be a dealer selling trade ins...be careful and see the machine working...don't take anyones word for it...
|
Just be wary of scams....High end machines are often used to lure you into a scam. Don't wire any $$. Be suspicious if they are "working out of state or abroad" and want you to send money anywhere. Only meet in a public place where you can test the machine.

Call me a cynic, but that seems "too good to be true". The Diamond retailed for $9500.00 new.

Viking just came out with a new machine, the Designer Diamond Deluxe. The ad you found most likely is a dealer trying to get rid of trade-ins, or possibly even a Designer Diamond that was never purchased.
I paid $7500 for my Designer Diamond last year (got lots of free goodies), but the Deluxe is $10,000. Yikes! The price is good, but find out if it's a leftover or trade in. The machine is fabulous!! Kat |
My local dealer (who was put out of business by Viking a couple of years ago) has hers in her new Brother & Janome shop, listed at $5900. I'd definitely want to be sure that it works like it's supposed to.

Why not ask if it has already been registered with Viking to an original owner? You can then check with Viking to verify that information. Go from there....
I would love a Diamond, but I do have a Topaz and I am having a grand time with it. Love it. |
Beware! My guess is it's a scam. Craigslist is dangerous.
