Wally World clearance fabric

Just went to the local Wally World and they had 2 yard patriotic bundles on sale for 75 cents in the clearance section and the crafting section. Some with more red in them were priced at $2.00 for 2 yards. Of course at that price, I don't expect LQS quality but I did purchase a few yards and they are now in the washer, I'll see how they turn out.

Wish our Walmart still carried bolts! We just have the small precut section and not much else.

Walmart has craft and quilting fabric. Usually mixed up on the shelves so you have to read the label. In my favorite Walmart quilting fabric is $6.99 to 8.99 a yard. The craft fabric is under $5 a yard. Regular prices. Walmart is not consistent in fabric dept in every store. I was told it was up to the craft/fabric dept manager how to stock the allotted space. I can tell a big difference in the two Walmarts close to me. One has an excellent fabric selection and notions. The other is only basic blah. One has a sewer as manager, the other has no idea.

It all washed fine in hot water and dried fine. I'm going for it. Time will tell if it fades in a quilt. Oh so tempting to go back and get more.

at that price, you can't lose.

Great prices.

Walmart in Canada stopped carrying fabric a few years ago. I rarely go into the local store, but they did have some precut bundles last time I was there. It was not great fabric. Fairly course texture.

Luckily our local big box fabric store has a quilt shop inside of it, so there is a good selection at various price points.

Our Walmart stopped carrying fabrics more than 6+ years ago. They don't sell any pre-cuts either. They must figure that the JAF in the adjacent strip mall made it unprofitable. I decided I don't really need much fabric any more. At least that is what I try to tell myself.
