What to do with all those scraps
Great idea! I have just made some stuffed 'toys' for the cat filled with fabric scraps and dried catnip - but this looks much more fun!
Oh my.....scraps used for stuffing the cushion...brilliant. Thank you for sharing!
I just put a batch outside for the birds to add to their nests..love seeing small pieces of my fabric woven into their nests!!
I must have fussy birds, when I put any small pieces out they just stay there. The birds don't take them and neither does the squirrel.
I make our dogs cushions out of ticking fabric and stuff them with scraps. We set them out the front porch so they don't have to lay on the cold concrete.

I love this. My son has been asking for one of these for his new house. Looks like a good idea for Christmas.

Yea, and a good way to get rid of some of that fabric that is so ugly, you still can remember why you would have ever bought the fabric in the first place! :D

I used them in a Dogbone Neck pillow (made bigger) for a back support for reading in bed. WAY better than those big cumbersome bed pillows. I use softer filler for the neck pillow, for comfort. Here's a great tutorial for them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMyz...EKUh4jtWyaZZdr and here's the pattern I used for mine. https://sew4home.com/projects/pillow...k-school-style |
