Are you ready for a challenge?
|
wow, that's a lot of blocks!
|
I did this in 2017. I even kept up (won't say I was obsessed...) until mid june, and I looked at all the blocks I'd done and thought no one but a quilter would understand the skill and time that went into these. And there aren't any other quilters in my family so I turned it into wall size and have it hanging where I can see it several times a day. I did mine in brown/yellow/orange. And did it as my first quilt as you go project.
|
I did it too. The first year. Well....I started it then. I wish I had done it QAYG like you, Kalama. I still have a few months left to finish up before I can even consider how to quilt it. Mine's all red & white. Lots of red!
I thnk you're right too, no one but a quilter would understand. Of course, not all quilters get the lure of all those tiny pieces. :) |
Wow...it looks a bit intimidating but beautiful. I took a break from Bonnie Hunter’s mystery this year because some of these projects take so much of your time. I would love to see one finished but it won’t be mine. LOL

I did it the first year and thought it was a super great skill builder challenge. Since then, very little intimidates me.
I did mine scrappy - and loved how it turned out http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psapogqfgo.jpg |
Beautiful quilt but I'm not up to that kind of challenge!

MacyBaby, every time I see your scrappy version, I fall in love with this quilt all over again!
I started mine last year, and made it thru April. Between a dead sewing machine and my hand not working right for a few months, I ended up setting it aside. I did download almost all the blocks for the year, though, and it is in my top 3 projects to work on. |
Will try it and see how it goes. Thanks for posting the link.
