Oh my gosh, this post came at just the right time. I was about to make some of these but my mind went completely blank and I couldn't figure out how to do this. This things were easy to figure out for me before my tramatic brain injury last month but now have become hard.

I still get confused when joining binding strips! the diagonal gets me every time. well not every time but close enough to wish I'd do them right every time.

That looks like a great idea. I am going to have to try it. I would be glad to skip the extra step of marking the squares.

Thanks for sharing, looks like it would save a lot of time. I just finished a quilt top which I had to make over 1000 HST. It was called Promise of Spring, I made to for a King Size bed, will post pic when it is quilted

I have Jenny Doan's method where she just folds the center and sews on each side for 2 1/2 squares and it works for larger squares. But it's what works for you.
