Default Accuquilt 50% off at JAF

Was in the Bay City, MI store this morning and they have posted a sign that all Accuquilt is half off. Got me 2 dies, a 6.5" square and Ohio Star plus another 2-pack of 6" mats and all were half off. Got both dies to go with all my other dies that create 12" blocks.
Did not see any machines but they must have them locked up somewhere.

Best check any stores in your area to see if they have anything you can use.

Hmm. I'm wondering whether JAF is no longer carrying Accuquilt products. I just looked at their online site and essentially no machines/dies/etc. are available.

JoAnn is not going to sell the Accuquilt products. One store manager told me they were hard to display, had too much theft, and people getting mad because they couldn't use a coupon. That was her take on it. She was glad they weren't selling them anymore. I said many people will be glad not to shop there anymore.

I got hit with the comment I could not use my 25% off total order because I bought the Accuquilt items. Lucky for me I do not shop there often, only when it is important to find the right color/shade of fabric. I have enough dies to keep me going for quite some time and no need to buy anymore now.

I haven't frequented JAF since the CEO sent an unsolicited email that I viewed as inappropriate - I assume she sent it to their entire customer base. IMHO when I share my email with a retail business I'm authorizing them to send information regarding their products/services/pricing. I do not authorize the use of my email for retailers to send propaganda that goes beyond the facts and contains a political opinion, agenda and call-to-action. I appreciate everyone's opinion and rights but none more than my own right to privacy.

I wonder if my local Joanns has many dies or accessories in stock...trying to figure out if it's worth a trip or not. I had looked online awhile back and didn't see anything so I figured they were discontinuing the line.

I would call first... I just called my store, which is 40 minutes away, and asked if they were discontinuing Accuquilt products. They said they were not, and they were not on sale. So, apparently it's a store-by-store decision.
