All, it seems that we have too many of these postings.

this is the link to the newsletter that Material Girl's of LaPlata, MD sent out. The info on the quilt is towards the bottom.

What I can't understand is how someone can steal a 50X50 quilt with no one noticing. I hope it is returned but I doubt it. Maybe someone will see it on eBay and email her.

Without a real photo of the completed quilt, it's going to be very hard to recover.

I am so sorry that this has happened, it is disheartening that all the work you had done and going to give it to mom and someone comes along and just takes it without a second thought. I hope you find your quilt and I most defintely hope the person or persons responsible gets caught, shame on them....

Around Christmas some woman walked out with over $200 in fabric and supplies at the local LQS. The quilts are all hung up so there's no walking off with one of those. My hope was the person was scattered due to holidays, but last I heard they had not shown back up to pay for the stuff. It seems it was intentional. I go to that store. I know the owners. I know if asked they would have donated. So disappointing!

It's so wrong someone takes off with a quilt someone has spent hours on. Hope they get caught. I believe there is a long arm quilter's association in Va. I would send a notice to all the long arm quilters in Virginia and Maryland so they would be on the look out for the stolen quilt.

That is just horrible. I cannot believe that someone would steal that quilt. I am praying for it's return

So sad, breaks my heart to what our society has become. Back when I was a child you would have never heard of this. Seems every single day I hear about people stealing, robbing banks, etc. very depressing. Some good news for a change would be so nice : )

The stealing is just beyond belief. People who steal have no conscience or heart. IMHO. One craft store attached jingle bells to their display items...and heads would swivel toward the sound when they heard it...but it sure kept finished items from being stolen. They were also attached to a metal grid display. For those who steal...they will get their "reward" someday, but meanwhile, faith in others is destroyed. Sad.
