Color style quiz

Color style quiz
For anyone interested, Shannon Brinkley has a color style quiz on her website that helps you identify your favorite color palette by season. I often feel stressed picking out colors ... so it was interesting for me. It helped me see how tones play a role in matching colors. She also has a free video that talks about color choices. Mainly the video talks about intuitive vs. sensing and seasonal color tones.
I’m intuitive and the quiz identified my color tone preference as autumn. But I think I’m more inclined to pick out summer tones for quilting.

I had googled, but guess I just used her name and did not reference the quiz part.
Had snooped around on the opening page, but didn't go back through her blog ... to August!
Thanks again!

I took the quiz as part of her videos. Video two is where she talks about intuition vs. sensing and color style preference quiz results. Here is a link to the page. If you click on get the free workshop, it asks for your email and takes you to the videos.

There is something about color choices. I can't live with beige or browns in our home. Seldom use those colors in fabric selections for quilts unless necessary. Our wall colors are pretty blues, aquas, and yes lime green. These make me happy!

Years ago personal color charts were the rage. I did a color analysis for many ladies on my faculty. When the new year rolled around, I hardly recognized some of the ladies with their new colors. They looked super! They were happy with their "new looks" and we all enjoyed seeing them.

According to the quiz, I gravitate toward “Winter” colors, which is the same season of colors I wear, with the exceptions of yellow, orange or yellow greens. Those colors make me look sick because the announce the yellow in my coloring so I look jaundiced. I am a winter with deep red hair, quickly going gray.....lol.

I hadn’t thought about it before, but it is interesting how our color style affects clothing, quilting, and decorating. What happens when you have a spring person living with a fall person? Explains why my husband and I argue over decorating choices when we buy furniture.
