That is the same pattern I used for my avatar quilt. My very first quilt. It is an easy block.

Here is a picture of the block. Remember this was my First quilt!! Wow I even had time to take it outside and take a pic!!! It is my first hand quilting also.

Upnorth , I really like your quilt ! Is yours 14.5 " square ? The pattern I found is 12.5 " square . Annie

Yes it is close to that I think they are 16 inches unfinished. I did enlarge the pattern, it has been a while so I don't know what size I used for sure.. I think it was called Sarahs star but it is the same as star flower. I used a record album cover to cut this one.
