    Default Quick quilt top

Anyone wanting a fast quilt top check out heirloomcreations and click on 1600 quilt. It is very pretty when done and makes great donation quilts. I have seen alot of them done and they are all pretty.

Do you always use jellyrolls? I have a lot of patriotic fabric and wanted to use them. Can I just cut them into 2-1/2 in. strips and can they vary in length or should I cut them all to the same length. Thanks, Pat

Yes you can cut your own strips. Just cut them all the same length. Have fun.

My next quilt will be one like this - need to get one done quickly for grandson's birthday. Perfect.

They are fun to make---once you get past that first 1600 inch seam. LOL. I enjoy making them because I don't have to concentrate---just keep sewing. I also make Project Linus quilts that way, except I cut the strips in half, so the quilt is smaller. I can make 2 Linus quilts from one jellyroll.
