I'm from Greensboro NC where did you purchase?

I'm 30 miles north of Charlotte and purchased mine at Concord Sew & Vac. Google "Triad Sew and Vac". They have stores in Cary, High Point and Winston-salem. Good Luck!

get the one that packs the most features into your budget.

if you can afford to, don't buy what you need now.
buy a model that has more than you need.
that will enable you to grow into it as your skills and interests expand.
I think that's great advice when it comes to machines. It's a significant investment for many of us.

I paid $1699 last year for one. I like it but wish I had waited to get one with a bigger hoop.

I got my Brother NQ2800D late last year for $1200. Had waited for right deal. Bought locally from lady on FB & she included soooo many extra goodies - - thread, stablizers. Still learning. Have only used embroidery so far. Want to download some free patterns from internet to machine but haven't gotten up enough nerve. I have an IMac...

I'm trying to decide if I should sell my ULT2002D and but the new NQ1600e?
Your thoughts since you own a ULT 2002D also.
Thank you!

I would keep the ULT2002D if it still works for you. It does things the NQ1600E doesn't. I loved my ULT but it was getting old and didn't work as well as it did for over 30 years.

I have the ULT 2001, 2002, & 2003. I loved sewing on my 2002..it was so quiet, smooth and beautiful stitches--rarely connected the emb arm. Last year it began cycling on/off on/off. Dealer repair diagnosed as needing new power unit--which, of course, does not exist anywhere (as I've found). It is sitting in a closed , waiting for a fairy to appear with a miracle. That was my fave machine of all time. So now I sew on the 2001, but it is not the same. Odd how we become so attached to a machine.

30 yrs? I'm sure that was a typo, as the 2002ULT was made in 2002. I hate spell check--it can give some ridiculous meanings to a post.
