Default EMB Thread Inventory

I just wanted to share how I track the EMB (embroidery) threads.

Floriani Brand--- There is a flip-fold color chart available that has actual thread colors with the numbers. I put a small dot available from the office supply store next to each thread color that I own or add to the drawer.

The next option is to use the Floriani app on phone. You can add each thread to the owned list in the thread organizer, make shopping list, and use the color matcher function.

Exquisite--- Again, a flip-fold color chart is available. Add a sticky dot with the colors you own already. It is easy to take to the LQS when buying new colors.

Brother--- I haven't found the thread chart yet. I keep a list of colors in my phone with the Evernote app.

Here is a link to download free color charts if you like. (No affiliation with this company but I have ordered products from them).

Enjoy! Thread Storage is a post for another day.

Yes, the color charts for Floriani and Exquisite brands are actual threads too. These charts are helpful when choosing colors.

On my computer in Excel I created a list by manufacturer, type of thread (12, 30, 40, etc.), color number and color name. Most of my embroidery designs are purchased and it is quick for me to check if I have already purchased a particular thread. Once I see all of the spools I can decide if I want to change any colors. Threads are stored in Sulky plastic containers.
