Default mylar

I've seen where you can buy mylar for embroidery at the dollar tree store, but, what do you look for exactly or where else do you buy it?

I have never found mylar any place but on-line. My quilt/Bernina shop did order some for me but they do not keep it in stock.

I bought Mylar from Heirlooms By Sharon. The website is https://www.heirloomsbysharon.com and I heard about the company from the Charming Station website. Their website is www.charmingstation.com and they have many embroidery designs using/featuring Mylar.

Thanks for the post. I have seen a few projects made with it but haven't done any yet. Nice to see a resource posted.

I’ve used the balloons from the dollar store. I’ve never ordered it from a supplier specifically for use in embroidery but I wonder if that Mylar might be thicker/sturdier?

yes it is. There is also something called Angelina Hair, you can get it in fibers or sheets. I like the fibers, you can mix them, then iron them into a sheet and have any color that you want. They work the same as mylar.
