Unhappy Brother Innov-is NQ1600E Embroidery Machine Won't Read 6" x 10" Design

Hello!
This is my first post and I'm hoping that someone will be able to provide some insight into a problem I'm having with my Brother Innov-is NQ1600E Embroidery Machine.
The NQ1600E is advertised as having a 6" x 10" embroidery area; however my machine is not able to read any design larger than a 5" x 7" design. To be more specific, it can read a 5 1/16" x 7 1/16" design, but not a 5 1/8" x 7 1/8" design or larger.
If I try to load a 5 1/8" x 7 1/8" design or larger, I receive an error message: "Pattern extends to the outside of embroidery frame." I downloaded the latest software thinking this would fix the problem, but it did not.
I have been writing back and forth with the Brother Service Center for the past week, but they have not been able to help me. I even sent them a variety of designs in different sizes (4.45” x 7.13”, 4.72” x 8.74”, and 5.12” x 5.12” - all of which are well within the boundaries of a 6” x 10” hoop) and the service tech’s machine could read all of the files, but my machine will not. Unfortunately, my NQ1600E is only able to load 5"x7" designs.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I would greatly appreciate your insights.
Many thanks!

What method and steps are you using to get the files to the machine? usb? What is the size of your usb? You may need to try a smaller size usb. I only put the designs I'm stitching on the usb and not pictures, documents, etc. You may need to re-format the usb and re-copy the pes file to the usb again.

What is the name of the file that you put on the usb? Make sure it is only a pes file. It should be only one file and not in a folder of files.
Example: if your designs are in a folder called "flowers" you need to send each separate file to the usb as in rose, daisy, etc.

If the file is a zip file you need to "extract all" first before sending to usb.

Make sure the stitch count of the file doesn't exceed the readable capability of the machine or the number of thread changes. (Found on page E-32 in the manual).

Does your machine read one of the built in designs of that size?

Welcome. Yes, check you have a large enough hoop selected.
Are the designs turned the correct way to fit the hoop. I had trouble with this many years ago, and found if I rotated the design 90 dgr all was ok.

Smile Success! Thank you very much!

My dear friends, you are absolutely brilliant! You all saved me from pulling out my hair in frustration. A directed, I checked on the designs that are preinstalled on my machine and noticed that the large ones were not accessible. Hmmmm! Then I went to the embroidery frame display area, searched for the 6x10 frame, clicked the off button and then the on button again and voila, it now works.
I would have NEVER figured this out on my own. Thank you so much for your help. You didn't have to answer my question and yet you took time out of your day to do so, to help a complete stranger, and for that I am deeply grateful.
Best wishes to you all and many thanks!
