Brother Innovis 4000D
 

I’m looking to upgrade to a machine with a larger hoop. Saw a 4000D on eBay for $1500. Is this machine to old to mess with? There seems to be quite a few out there.

Welcome to the Board. I have a Brother 4000 machine and it still works like a dream, though it hasn't seen a great deal of work since I bought it. Can you find out how many stitches it has done, under 1,000,000 it should be still good. I do like the Brothers as they are so user friendly. Keep in mind that you may not be able to get parts if something breaks, but if you know a good techie person they can often help, my son does mine

have a 4000 brother, its a great machine, I think I haven't spent enough time practising. I struggle with not knowing how to action the memory stick, it's me not the machine, I would like someone on this group to help me, enjoy whatever decision you make.
