where do I start?

I have acquired a Pfaff creative sensation pro, updated to a 6D dongle.I am using a computer that has Floriani total control software. New to this. What would you suggest I do to learn how to navigate the software?

I think the 6D has manuals that can help you. The manuals are built into the software. Have you found the Reference Guide/Manual?

Are you new to machine embroidery - or only new to digitizing software?

If the first, then ignore the software for now and learn how to use the machine. I have a Babylock emboridery machine, and bought the Total Control software about a year ago. Due to moving and the other craziness going on - I've not done much of anything with the software yet, but use my embroidery machine a lot, either with designs that came with it or purchased.

When I can purchase a design on sale for under $2, and get it instantly with a download with the thread chart and all, it's a way better use of my time than doing the digitizing myself. Someday I'll get back to having time to devote to learning the software.

Floriani has a lot of information available on the RNK Club website. Not sure what you caan access without joining. I have my software registered so get free updates when they are available. There is a series of videos their software - I got about half way through last fall, then we decided to move . . .

When you first open 6D, you will see "Guides" among other things. If you click on "User", you will find instructions to use your embroidery software. If you click on "Reference", you will find instructions with more details to use your embroidery software. Please let me know what you see when you open either "Guide".

If I read your post properly - you have 2 different embroidery programs. 1 is the Husqvarna 6D program 1. is the Floriani Total Control. They probably do a lot of the same things. I have the 4D for my Husqvarna Topaz 20 and the Embrilliance because I love being able to add the fonts that I cannot do under the 4D, also I prefer their thumbnail program.
Anyway, what I will do is work up what I want in either program, save it to my document section in the computer, and then re-open it in the other program to complete it.
I hope this makes sense to you. I have both programs of the same laptop - which is an HP. I did have to buy the laptop when I got my machine because the program at that time did not talk to Mac's. Which is fine - it was a lot cheaper than buying the Mac version which was $2800 at that time.
I don't know Floriani but I feel confident that you can save your design into the language that will talk to your Pfaff. You just need to set it to that default. Embrilliance works primarily for Brother machines, but I have it set to save my files with the VP3 extension.
