My quilt guild challenge for 2012 is using five colors for each quilt. They are black, grey, white and two additional colors. The additional colors are determined by putting all colors of crayons in a paper bag and each person, without looking, picking two crayons and whatever you draw is put with the other three colors for your challenge quilt. The crayons I drew were bright pink and bright blue. I need help with choosing a pattern using just five colors. Thanks so much for your help.

here's one idea http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-64537-1.htm, but use your 2 colors for the borders

or this one and alternate your colors in the center squares http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-146955-1.htm

in this one you can use one color for the frame and the other for the tiny square http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-44132-1.htm

I'd use Amish quilt color style as a point of departure. the bold use of black and grey + a couple of brights are often used-
lots of images online w/ a google search-
please share your finished piece w/ us :-D
