Read this in an article and thought I would share:
Just a few quilting statistics:
*The average age of quilter is 62 years old.
*About 85 percent of quilters have a room dedicated to quilting activities at home.
*On average, a quilter will have $8500.00 worth of tools and supplies for quilting.
*A quilter will also have $3700.00 invested in purchased fabric.

Is this you? I know I fall in that category. Give me your thoughts.

I'm also in that category! Don't tell my hubby how much I'm "worth". LOL

Added: Alot of my stuff is "old" so don't really think I have that much invested in fabric but my Fun Quilter upped the ante quite a bit.

NO!

*27 years old
*Sew at the kitchen table.
*Even with my Brother maching I MIGHT have 1500 dollars worth of tools and supplies.
*If I have 150 dollars worth of purchased fabric I'm lucky! (lol its good quality just not much of it!)

Well, I must be an oddball, LOL, because I only fit one of those.

I'm 35, I Do have my own sewing room, but I don't have anywhere near that amount in supplies and fabrics. I wish I did, though, does that count? LOL!

Maybe it's just becasue I haven't been doing it very long? Give me a few more years and I'll catch up.

I'm getting closer and closer to the age. I'm way past the room---pretty much the whole upstairs and it's almost 2000 sq feet. If you count all the machines, rulers, mats, tables, etc. I might be over on the notions thing or at least close. However on the fabric I'm WAY over.

I turn sixty next month and the rest seems to fit me. I think the bigger question should be how long have you been quilting? I have been doing it since 1967.
