Paper piecing?

I am a newbie and need to make a paper pieced name tag for the guild that I joined. I have the pattern that the guild uses, but am looking for tips, pointers, tutorials.......I love this board and have learned a lot, just lurking. How about stabilizers? Which ones? Thanks everyone.
