This year's goal was to get healthy. Quilting and the friends I've made through quilting have helped me do that.
I also bought a 10' quilting frame and a 11" machine to put on it.
That started a whole new project. Learning how to use it.
I've done about a dozen quilts on it now, from practise swatches to crib quilts to queen size. And the technique is getting better.
I've also been making some purses and bags.
My goal for 2011 is to continue to improve my "midarm" technique and start doing more quilts for those of us who 'quilt by chequebook."
I also want to finish making a quilt for each of my nieces and nephews and great nieces, and great nephews, before I start having grandchildren. LOL, my son is 10!!

My goal is to do the quilting on the tops I completed in 2010. For me, this is a huge leap and I'm scared to death. Not sure why but I definately have a mental block and hesitate to start.

I want to make a quilt for myself. I have made them for everyone else, and I want one. I am embarrassed to say that I still have a Walmart store comforter on my bed  .
I would also like to do more applique. I haven't done much of it and need to get some good practice in this year.

In 2011 I would like to finish at least 3 quilts that I have tops for. I would also like to find that intricate, challenging, once in a lifetime quilt that will take me a long time to make - I think I'm ready for that. Until I find that quilt to work on, I'll continue happily quilting along on whatever strikes my fancy!

I would like to get on with restoring my beautiful treadle I bought a little while ago (kitchen reno's got in the way).
Quilts....T-shirt quilt for my stepson (have all the T's already), OBW, random/grab/scrappy for our bed (was inspired by Rosy's wonderful creation), cat quilt (have a cool pattern already) and some extras as I would like to stockpile a few and maybe try and sell them....not sure about this bit, but each quilt I make is an improvement and people seem to like my quilts...anyway, we shall see....oh and keep working on the EPP Grandmother's Garden...maybe 2011 will see it done and dusted.

Going to start a D9P tomorrow and will be trying out a OBW after the holidays!! Excited about both projects - have been mulling over my color placement for the D9p and have finally got it planned out in my head. Tomorrow is cutting day-yay!! After I finish these two projects who know what will come next - maybe I will brave the Judy Neimeyer paper pieced Hunters Star pattern that I bought 4 years ago. With the help of the tuts on this board I may just be brave enough to try it!

I have one of those 'Happy Daisies' in the works and just printed off the beginning instructions for a scrappy mystery quilt that was just talked about on here. I'm itching to get started but I'm heavily involved with my GDs' Christmas sewing projects right now.
