www.keepsakequilting.com has a calendar for $14.99 that has 250 blocks and 75 quilts for 2011. Would this be an item we could all buy and choose our blocks from this?

Choose "our" blocks for what? Are you planning an exchange?

But this calendar has all the pictures of the blocks, gives the materiial needed for each and you would still have lots of blocks for later. Just a thought. I have never done a BOM before. How does it work?

Usually a BOm is when you get a block a month from wherever you are buying it from. I did a Thimbleberrie one once and also thru my LQS, they are fun. If you are thinking of joing a swap on the board, they usually give you names or sites to find them on. Hope this helps.
